Overview of Everest View Trek

Why Choose 9 Days Everest View Trek?

The Everest Base Camp Trek took two weeks & physically fit. A lot of travelers never had those specs. The 9 Days Everest View Trek is perfect as you enter the Khumbu / Everest Region with only 5 days of walking. You fly into Lukla. From Phakding you walk to Namche Bazaar. It takes most of the day. Once you reach Namche, you get a rest day. That day, you hike up to a place called Syangboche Airport. There is a hotel up there too. The Everest View Hotel. From that spot, Everest shows up right in front of you. First time seeing it on the trek. After that you go to Khumjung village. It is the biggest Sherpa village in the Khumbu. People raised families here for a very long time. Then the trail moves to Tengboche Monastery. It sits at 3,857m. Ama Dablam is on one side. Everest on the other. Monks put this place together ages ago. It is still standing. After Tengboche you walk back to Lukla and take the flight home.

Not everyone has 14 days for the Everest Base Camp Trek. This route gives you Everest without all that time. You fly into Lukla on the short mountain runway. You walk by the Dudh Koshi River. In Namche there is a Saturday market. It ran every week for years and years. You’ll go inside 500 year old monasteries . The highest point of this trek reaches 3,857 meters at Tengboche.

Best Time for Everest View Trek

The best time for everest view trek are March, Apil, May, June, September, October, November, and December.

Spring always brought warmer days to the Khumbu. Rhododendron blooms covered the lower forest between Phakding and Namche every March and April. May gets hazy after lunch but mornings stay sharp. The trail from Namche to Tengboche runs through blue pine, fir, and juniper. These forests looked finest during spring and still do.

Autumn has been peak trekking season for years. October and November hand you crispest skies once the monsoon clears. December? Always cold. Tengboche nights sink below minus 10 even now. But visibility stays brilliant and you’ll barely see other trekkers. Want Everest photos without crowds? December delivered that every year.

July and August never worked here. Rain came, leeches showed up, clouds hid the peaks, Lukla flights got delayed. That hasn’t changed. January and February can work but Tengboche gets seriously cold. Nepal Holiday Trip has supplied sleeping bags and down jackets to trekkers in cold months for years.

Is Everest View Trek Beginner Friendly?

Always has been. Probably one of the most beginner-friendly options in the Everest region. Top altitude reaches Tengboche at 3,857m. Compare that with EBC at 5,364m or Gokyo Ri at 5,360m. Way more manageable. Day 4 gives you rest at Namche. Trekkers used this day to hike to Khumjung and Syangboche, and it always helped bodies adjust before heading higher.

Walking days run 5 to 7.5 hours. The trail was well-built and remains well-marked. No scrambling. No ropes. No ice. Uphill, downhill. That’s been the whole story. Guide leads, porter grabs the bag. You’ll carry a daypack. If 3 hours uphill felt okay back home, you’re set.

First-time trekkers always loved this route. Older travelers picked it for years. Families brought teenagers. Office workers who needed a week in the mountains found what they came for. Want longer and tougher from the same trail? The Everest Base Camp Trek was always the step up.

A Dedicated, Knowledgeable, and Truly Professional Guide

My Name is Basset Howard from Civic centre, Paris St, EX11sn Exeter Devon UK, Dhruba Bhatta is Best guide in Nepal, my first Visit December 2005, When he was employed by some trekking agency in Nepal and he acted as my guide on a short Everest Base Camp kalapathar Trek as far as Namche Bazaar called Everest panoramic view trek then I returned again in December 2006 to undertake the full trek to Everest Base Camp Kalapathar and My third visit to Nepal was in April 2011 and i had been Annapurna Circuit Trekking remarked how I were to have a guide so personable, knowledgeable and dedicated to me and my experience. I could not have agreed with them more and having never trekked this length before, I were novices. It is without doubt, that my guide been anyone other than Dhruba, I would not have had nearly the rich, authentic and thoroughly enjoyable experience I did on Trekking.

With Dhruba I enjoyed like those point:

  1. Dhruba is A sensitive and sensibility to allow a good balance between conversation and respecting an individual or couples need for privacy, over 14 years Trekking guide experience.
  2. In an intimate knowledge of the best accommodations, Tea stops and places of interest along the way, according to your own individual budget.
  3. Truthful, genuine discussions, well-informed regarding anything from Nepal’s history and current politics, local religions and culture history geography natural landscape and all Mountain names and height.
  4. A respect for an individual’s desired pace and physical condition.

We would highly recommend any potential Trekker in Nepal to enlist the service of Dhruba Bhatta. It is without a doubt that you will be richly rewarded if you do some trek in Nepal. His contact, Address is: nepalholidaytrip@yahoo.comdhbhatta@yahoo.co.uk  and his website: www.nepalholidaytrip.com

Essential Trip Information

Everest View Trek Cost

The Everest View trek starts at USD 890 per person. Everything you actually need on the trail is already included here. We listed the full breakdown of included and excluded items in the section above on this page. You can check it there.

What we want to tell you here is the money part that travellers ask about. How much extra should I bring?

The trek package pays for the big things. But you will want to buy a few things on your own along the way. A hot shower at the lodge. Wifi for an hour. Charging your phone. Maybe a chocolate bar or a Coke at the teahouse. These little things cost money and the lodge owners set their own prices. Higher you go, more they charge. That is just how it works up there. For all of this, keeping USD 15 to 20 per trekking day with you is enough. Some days you spend USD 5. Some days you spend USD 25. It balances out.

On your rest day, the trail takes you up to the Everest View Hotel. It is one of the highest hotels in the world. The views from there are unreal. But if you sit down for tea or a meal, that bill comes from your pocket. We don’t add it to the package because everyone orders different things and prices at that altitude run a lot higher than normal teahouses. Keep USD 50 to 100 extra for that visit.

At the end of the trek, most people tip their guide and porter. There is no fixed amount either. Most trekkers we worked with gave somewhere around USD 50 to 80 total split between the two. Your guide walked beside you every single day. Your porter carried your bag up the mountain and brought it back down. A tip is a nice way to say thank you for all that.

So add it all up. Trek is USD 890. Personal spending on the trail runs about USD 200 to 400 on top. That is roughly what you need for the whole trip.

Extensions for Everest View Trek

Your trek finishes on Day 8 when you land back in Kathmandu. Day 9 is your departure day. But what if your flight home isn’t for a few more days? Or what if you kept some extra time in Nepal on purpose? These three trips fit right after the trek. No gap days. No wasted time.

Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour (Add 5-6 Days)

On Day 9, skip the airport. Get on a bus or a short flight to Pokhara instead. The lake there is called Phewa Lake. Mountains sit right behind it. People came here since the 1970s and they kept coming back. Spend a day or two walking by the lake, visit the Peace Pagoda, try paragliding if you feel like it. After Pokhara, you go south to Chitwan Jungle Safari. This is jungle. Real jungle. You ride canoes on the Rapti River. You look for rhinos. You might see elephants. People loved this part long before anyone had Instagram. After Chitwan, a car brings you back to Kathmandu. So in one trip you walked the Everest trail, sat by a lake with mountain views, and floated through jungle watching wildlife. Our Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour package takes care of transport, hotels, food, and all activities. One week in the mountains. Next week in the jungle. That’s a Nepal trip you talk about for a long time.

Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour (Add 1 Day)

Maybe you only have one extra day. That’s fine. Use Day 9 for sightseeing and fly home Day 10 instead. A guided Kathmandu tour fills one full day. You visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist stupas in the world. It was here for hundreds of years. Then Swayambhunath, people call it Monkey Temple. It sat on top of a hill above the city since the 5th century. Monkeys still run around there. You also see Pashupatinath Temple near the Bagmati River. Very old. Very sacred. And the Durbar Squares of Patan and Bhaktapur where old buildings still stand the way builders made them long ago. After a week seeing monasteries in the mountains, these city temples made the whole thing click together. Our team sets up a guide and car for the day. Just one day. But it tied the whole Nepal experience together nicely.

Nagarkot Tour (Add 2 Days / 1 Night)

This one short, scenic, and peaceful tour after the trek. Day 9, instead of going to the airport, you drive 30 km east to Nagarkot. It sits at 2,175m. Small hilltop place. You check into a hotel up on the ridge. Next morning you wake up early. If the sky is clear, you see the sunrise hit the whole Himalayan line from Annapurna on one side to Everest on the other. People watched that same sunrise for years and nobody got tired of it. On the drive back to Kathmandu, you stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Old temples, old carvings, old streets. You’re back in Kathmandu by lunch. Departure moves to Day 11. Two extra days, one night. No walking at all. Just sunrise and old buildings. Nepal Holiday Trip took care of hotel, car, and guide for this add-on. Tell us when you book and we attach it to your trek dates

Simpler than city restaurants. Still fresh, still filling. Dal bhat, noodles, fried rice, eggs, pancakes. Namche always had the widest menu with pizza and bakery items. Tengboche menus narrowed but quality held. Nepal Holiday Trip picked up all trek meals so you never calculated bills at teahouses.
