Langtang Valley Trek

As you arrive at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport our staff will be waiting with your name card and will escort you to the Hotel. We will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Trekking do’s and don’t and other related information that you might require while in Nepal. A short paper work for the trekking National Park permit and TIMS.

Early morning driving journey to Syabrubesi, the vehicle journey takes you to the winding uphill and downhill road, the drive passes to many rural town and farm villages the bigger town on route Trisuli Bazaar, this place lies in the sub-tropical climatic zone the road from here climbs uphill to a cooler region leaving the rice paddy behind to maize and millet terraced fields as the weather changes with the culture and the people as well, on arrival at the entrance of Dhunche 1,965m, major town of the Langtang area and Raswa district. There’s a Langtang National Park headquarter office where you’re Trekking and Park permit are checked by the Nepalese Army serving as Park warden. From here, journey continues further downhill for 1-2 hours to Syabrubesi village for the overnight stop.

The route from Syabrubesi is quite pleasant with the uphill climb for a while but the rest of the walk is gradual on the winding trail through the terraced farm fields and villages, as the trail descends and joins the path coming from upper Syabru at the Riverside Lodge near the place of Bamboo, an ideal spot for camping with ample time to go for a refreshing splash in the nearby river of upper Trisuli River.

The walk from here leads to a cool forest inside the gorge following the torrent glacial Trisuli River upstream, the path from here leads to gentle up hill in the cool shade of rhododendron and oaks forest after few hours walk, arriving at Lama-Hotel, where there is facilities for camping and staying in one of these local teahouses serving as lodges for the trekkers. From this place another two to three hours reaches you at Ghoretabla for the Ghoretabla located is in the middle of the forest of pines, hemlocks and rhododendron from here onward you can feel the altitude also. Ghoretabla in Nepali means the “Horse-Stable” in the early days till present people from Langtang area and as far as from Kathmandu use to trade with Tibet by this accessible route to Tibet-Nepal via Kiayrong and bringing Tibetan ponies, as this an ideal place for the cattle’s and horses to graze on the meadows with numerous creeks around for watering. after this we have to walk another 2 hour to reach in Langtang valley, it is one of the best spot for our trek. Langtang valley has a lodge and a Park Warden’s barrack. before the earthquake it was really nice. all the tea house lodge are newly built and looks colorful. overnight at Langtang valley

Our destination of this trek continues for three hours on the road to get in Kyanjing Gompa. after reaching there we can have a lunch and checked in to the hotel, then start to climb up for Kyanjing Ri for acclimatization or viewing the mountains. ifrom Kyanging Ri we will see many snow capped mountains like Langtang Himal, Langtang Lirung, Nayakhang, Cherkori, Ganjala and many more. evening back to the hotel and sleep in tea house lodge.

After a great time at Kyangin Gompa, journey returns back on the same trail to Lama-Hotel a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of upper Trisuli River.

This is our Last day of hiking in mountain, after breakfast we will walk down to the hill and passes the alpine forest where we can see alder tree, Rhododendron tree, pine tree, oak tree etc, it takes around four hour to walk back to Syabru Besi. overnight at Syabru besi in tea house lodge.

Today is our Last day of the trek. after breakfast we will drive back to kathmandu, it takes around 6 hours to arrived in Kathmandu. the road is up and down as well as bumpy.
