Short Trek in Nepal

Nepal is one of the most popular and best Himalayan countries in the world for Natural beauty and the Himalayas. For people who don’t have a long time and want to go for adventure activity, it will be the right choice short Trek in Nepal. I want to suggest some trek for four days of hiking and coming back to cities like Kathmandu or Pokhara. Ghorepani Poon hill trek, Chisopani Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trek, Ghandruk Ghorepani Trek, and many more will be the choice of short trekking in Nepal.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

starting point: Pokhara drive to Nayapul one and a half hour
minimum days required: 4/5hours

Ghorepani poon hill trek starts from Pokhara, and if you want to see some of Nepal’s highest peaks up close, it’s the best option for a short trek. The view from Poon Hill is almost 180 degrees Himalayas including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tilicho Peak, and Fishtail. The first few days trail does a steady climb between the small Magar and Gurung villages. The second night will be spent in Tadapani which offers an excellent view of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Fishtail, and Annapurna II. Another day you will climb up to Ghorepani and the next day walk back down to Pokhara.

Langtang Trek

This is the best trek for those starting from Kathmandu and can be accomplished in less than a week. It is a 6/7 hour drive to the remote hill station of Syabrubesi from where the treks begin. The Langtang Trek takes you up the beautiful canyon of the Langtang Khola. You will not see any high 8 thousand meters peak, but you will be very close to the mountain. Langtang Lirung  7,227 m the world’s 99th tallest peak is impressive enough. Upon reaching the Upper valley make sure in a morning hike to Kyanging Ri 4,773 m for a beautiful view of the mountains of Langtang Himal and surrounding glaciers and ice falls.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

The Annapurna base camp trek is the longest of listed trekking here, but it is possible to manage. Now the road goes closer to the Annapurna base camp if you have a short time and want to do this trek it is possible. Just need to be Physically fit for a walk, day walking will. It is a spectacular hike up the canyon of Modo Khola with fantastic views of Machhapuchre, which is the coin of the Matterhorn of Asia.  Reaching the Annapurna base camp, you are virtually encircled by a ring of Mountains. The south face of Annapurna I is 8,091 m the tallest peak in the sanctuary tower. Please makers over base camp providing a more than an impressive backdrop.

Everest View Trek

Everest View Trek is one of the shortest treks in Nepal. People who don’t have time, those kinds of people can reach the view of Everest. The highlights of the Everest view trek are the views of Everest, Amadablam, Thamserku, Khangtega, Lhotse, Nuptse, and many more. The trek starts with a fantastic short flight to the small mountain airstrip at Lukla from where you will trek to Phakding. Another day is a beautiful view trekking up the canyon of the Dudhkosi which involves crossing several suspension bridges before you do the steep climb to Namche Bazaar.

This day is hiking up to the Everest View Hotel to catch a glimpse of Mount Everest in the distance. Now you wish you were making the complete trek to Everest base camp. After spending a day in Namche, you will return to Lukla by the same route and fly back to Kathmandu. Next day or same day evening you can fly back to your home. The short and sweet trek is finished to fulfill your dream.
