Ghandruk Jhinu Trek, it is nice combination with short adventure on the mid hills of massif Annapurna Himalaya range of mountains, where walk leads you to some short circuit with marvelous views of snow capped peaks with dramatic panorama.

Besides, beautiful scenery of mountains the culture and traditional life of the hill, spring of hot water and all villages is every bit as fascinating where you will witness on this fabulous Ghandruk Jhinu Trek, where walk leads you in order to some short drive from famous and scenic Pokhara city.

After a short drive, Ghandruk Jhinu trek start to walk, and then heading towards high hills covered in beautiful tall rhododendron-magnolia-hemlocks-oaks and pine trees with exceptional views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalaya to achieve at lovely spot at Ghorepani Village after a long uphill climb through Ulleri and Bhanthati villages.

After a wonderful moment in Ghandruk Village then, it’s totally strat from here heading back to Pokhara, taking a solution route through scenic Tadapani village, with downhill walk into dense alpine woodland to reach at Kimrong valley and then uphill climb to reach top of Jhinu and Chomrong community.

However, Ghandruk Jhinu trek,the ridge top the downhill on nice stone paved steps to reach at Jhinu village situated on a hill top facing views of snow clad peaks of Annapurna, at the height of 1,780 m high where you could enjoy in its hot spring just 20 mins downhill from the village by the bank of raging Modi River.With refreshing and enjoyable time at Jhinu our journey ends walking to be able to a road head for short drive to Pokhara following a marvelous time around the high hills of Annapurna, Ghorepani poon hill Trek. for this trek its covers all together 20 kilometer.

first day Nayapul to Ghandruk is about Twelve km and next day Ghandruk to Jhinu Eight (8) km and Jhinu to backt o Sibai for Taking jeep to Pokhara.we called this trek is easy and short where you can see Annapurna South 7,219m, Hiuchuli 6,434m and Fishtail 6,993 m. you will be close to those mountain and this is beginning of Annapurna Base Camp Trek . if some people don’t want to walk they could take a jeep privately and reach those places now a days.

Itinerary

first day of our trek starts from pokhara, we will take a car or taxi to go to Phedi and we will gently climb up through the rhododendron and oak forest until reaching Pothana which takes about 1 and half hour. We can see the excellent view of Machhapuchhre. The trail takes another 1 hour climbs through the rhododendron forest to a pass with views of the Mardi Khola far below and the panoramic views of Annapurna South and Hiun Chuli to the north, and Pokhara and Phewa Lake to the southeast when we will reach Deurali. Then, we will make a steep descent through the forests into a huge side canyon of the Modi Khola and arrive at Bheri Kharka, a superb of the large Gurung village of Bichok, far below after a 1 hour climbing down. We will make our lunch there and after lunch, we will descend to the head of the valley on the upper trail cross a stream over the suspension bridge. Then we climb gently out of the side canyon on flagstone steps until reaching Tolka which takes about 1 and half hour. We will stay overnight at Lodge
In the morning after breakfast, we will descend a long knee-crunching stone staircase to a suspension bridge across the small stream, then climbs through forests to a ridge an easy walk past stream, fields until reaching a Gurung settlement of Landruk village which takes about 1 and half hour. We can see a second largest Gurung village of Ghandruk high above us on the opposite side of the river. Then, we will leave the village and choose the right trail; walk on the thick jungle trail descends through ferns to fine view of Annapurna South high above the jade-white water river and cross the several bridges with lovely waterfall near the Himal Qu. Then, we will cross by a long narrow suspension bridge over the Modi Khola until reaching New Bridge which takes about 1 and half hour. We will make our lunch there. After lunch, we will continue to steep climbs and then cross over the stream. Then a short stiff climbs bring us to Jhinu Danda for over night. from here we have to take our own clothes and towel and go to the hot spring. it takes 15 minute to reach the hot spring.
In the morning after having breakfast, we will descend to small stream and climb up with small stone staircase with zigzag uphill through the terrace fields viewing Jhinu Danda and Chhomrong village from top of the ridge, with its small settlement which takes about 2 and half hour. Then we walk small ups and downs through the dense forest of rhododendron viewing scenic Landruk and Ghandruk village until reaching Ghandruk, which is also known as Konda Village in their local language. Konda means Stone; we can see all the walking trail and house when we are entering in the village. It takes about 1 and half hour. We will have our lunch and visit a very interesting old traditional Gurung Museum and recently built Buddhist Monastery in the middle of the village, which we can make side trip for the evening. We will stay overnight at Lodge
In the morning after breakfast, we will leave the village and walk down on the stone paved stone staircase for a while and viewing Landruk village just opposite side of us. After a 2 hours walk down from Ghandruk village, we arrive in Syaulibazar. Then, we will follow the plain dusty road way along the Modi Khola until reaching Birethanti which takes about 1 and half hour. We cross a river over an iron bridge and have our lunch there. After lunch, we continue 30 minutes further to Nayapul along the Modi Khola and our car will be there to pick up. Then, we back to Pokhara by car which takes about 2 hours and transfer to Hotel. We will stay overnight in Hotel.
