Everest Base Camp Cho-La Pass Trek takes you to the scenic destination at Gokyo valley within its turquoise-colored lakes. The backdrop of the world’s 6th highest mountain Cho-Oyu which straddles the border with Nepal at 5th Lake of Gokyo and Tibet on the other side.

A fabulous adventure a great combination of scenic Gokyo and Everest base camp with a tremendous high pass of Tsho-la, which often spelled as Cho-la, whatever the name is, offers you with the great adventure of lifetime experience the best of Khumbu and Everest region.

It is starting with a short scenic flight to Lukla the gateway Sherpa town with its unique airstrip. The adventure leads through many Sherpa farm villages with prayer walls along the route and then climb up to famous Namche Bazaar. Namche is acclimatization with short walks to catch grand views of Everest and surrounding giant peaks.

As the walk progress leaving the main Everest base camp trek trail behind to enter at Gokyo Lake and its scenic valley commanding beautiful views of snow-capped mountains, and then climb to Gokyo Ri viewpoint with an exceptional panorama of world’s four highest peaks Everest-Lhotse-Makalu and Cho-Oyu.

Our walk leads to cross over a high Tsho-La pass to reach at Everest base camp with sweeping views of Khumbu Ice Falls and glaciers and then climb to another scenic viewpoint hill at Kalapathar top at 5,545 m, the highest spot of the adventure with incredible views with Everest at close distance.

Finally, our Everest adventure hike completes with a walk back to Lukla, taking an alternative main popular route. Pheriche and famous Thyangboche Monastery within beautiful forest surrounding with grand views, walk leads to Lukla for flight to the hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu after concluding a memorable and fantastic adventure on Everest Base Camp Cho-La Pass Trek.

On arrival at Nepal's one and only International airport known as 'Tribhuvan' where our staff and guide will receive you with warm welcome with garland, and then transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu in Thamel area or near about. After getting refreshed from the flight, our guide will brief with information regarding Everest Base Camp with Tsho-La Pass Trekking with other norms do's and don'ts with evening group dinner in a pleasant Nepalese restaurant with culture shows as entertainment.
A free day in Kathmandu where you will join in for exciting sightseeing tour led by our city guide showing you the wonders of ancient history and culture of Nepalese way of traditional life. Kathmandu city with Patan and Bhaktapur steeped with World Heritage Sites, our half day last for 3-4 hours with lunch breaks and then back to your hotel, afternoon preparation for next day adventure to Everest Base Camp with Tsho-La Pass Trekking.
Starting early morning transfer to domestic airport for short and scenic flight to Lukla, taking a smaller aircraft (Twin Otter or Dornier) during 30 minutes on air with amazing panorama of Himalayan series of peaks with Mt. Everest, as the plane lands on its unique uphill runways reaching at Tenzing & Hillary airport in Lukla. From here a slow start with few hours of walks on downhill past many Sherpa farm villages with well tended crops and vegetable fields and terraces with occasional views of snow capped peaks of Kwangde and Kusum Khanguru, and then reaching our first overnight stop of the trek at Phakding in the comfort of nice and cozy lodge located by the raging Dudh Kosi River.
Today a long haul to reach at Sherpa capital in Namche Bazaar, starting with gradual walk following the river upstream and crossing few bridges to reach at Sagarmatha National Park entrance near Monjo village. Sagarmatha for Everest in Nepalese and Sherpa calls Chomolungma in both languages means 'Great Mother' from here a pleasant walk on river bed and then climb for few hours into forested trail with views of snow capped peaks, as the walk reaches you at exciting town and village at Namche Bazaar
A rest and a free day at Namche Bazaar for proper and necessary acclimatization at this great height of above 3,440 m high before heading higher ground, at Namche spend the day with scenic hike around and browsing the streets and shops, Namche holds a colorful and busy Saturday Market every week.
With pleasant and wonderful stop with rest day at Namche Bazaar, morning starts with short steep climb, then on easy winding trail through alpine tree lines with views of Mt. Everest-Lhotse-Nuptse-Amadablam and other peaks, walk continues to an uphill at Mong danda, a small place perched on a ridge facing beautiful views of peaks.From Mong downhill walk to Dudh Kosi River at Phunki Thanka for lunch in the shade of tall alpine woodland, afternoon walk for another few hours with climb into cool forest filled with rhododendron-oaks-magnolia-pines-juniper and fir tree lines with views of peaks, finally walk ends on a small place in Dole for overnight stop.
From Dole walk starts with a climb to a small top where tree lines fades for smaller rhododendron and juniper bushes, walk leads to higher altitude, as our route leads on level path for an hour reaching at Lhabarma Kharka and Luza at 4,390m; walk continues skirting a ridge line with grand views of Mt. Cho-Oyu stands as world 6th highest at above 8,201 m high. After enjoying the views descend to Machherma, a small settlement with few nice and comfortable lodges, reaching Machherma for lunch and overnight stop with enough time for short walks or just relax and enjoy the views.
After Machherma gaining altitude, as morning leads with another short walks to reach one of the highlight of the adventure at Gokyo Lake, walk leads on gradual path to Pangka, a small flat area and then descend to follow a glacial river a tributary of Dudh Kosi, which flows from Ngozumba Glacier with Mt. Cho-Oyu and adjoining peaks. Walk leads to a climb reaching at first Lake of Gokyo, and then past second lake then reaching at third lake also known as Dudh Pokhari the main Lake of Gokyo. Overnight at Gokyo with lunch stop in the backdrop of Mt. Cho Oyo and Gyachung Kang that reflects on its turquoise colored Gokyo Lake.
Morning starting early for hike up to Gokyo Ri where you can striking sunrise views with array of world highest mountains, as the climbs heads steeply finally reaching on top of Gokyo Ri at 5,357 m high rewards you with panorama of mountains Mt. Everest-Lhotse-Makalu with Mt. Cho-Oyu includes series of peaks and of Gokyo lake with Ngozumba Glacier down below. After grand time worth the hard climb, descend back to Gokyo for breakfast and lunch with afternoon free to relax.
People who have missed the hike to Gokyo Ri previous morning, morning an opportunity to climb up to the view point, morning at leisure and after breakfast and lunch walk to Thaknag to a small settlement with just few simple lodge beneath Tsho (Cho-La) pass.
Starting our adventure early morning as the walk climb steeply over scree and rocks for few hours with rest in between to catch your breath and to enjoy the surrounding marvelous views, finally climbing up to the top of Tsho-La often pronounced and spelled as Cho-La, festooned with Buddhist prayer flags offering views of Nirekha-Cholatse and Lobuche peaks.After a small stop enjoying the scenery descend towards other side of Cho-la pass towards Everest base camp with overnight in a small peaceful spot at Dzong-la after tough walk and climb of the day.
Morning overlooking superb views of high snow capped peaks with Amadablam North Face, as our adventure begins heading uphill for an hour to a ridge and then on gradual up with stunning views as the walk leads above Thugla, where Khumbu glacier melts into a raging icy river. After a pleasant stop another hour of high altitude walk brings you at Lobuche with 10-12 good lodges to stay facing Nuptse and Lobuche peaks.
Today our adventure takes you at Everest Base Camp our main goal and highlight of the trip walking for few hours with short steep climb in between glacier and moraine, then reaching at Gorakshep, beneath lofty peak of Pumori and Kalapathar rocky hill. Walk continues towards Everest base camp, at base camp enjoy views of massive Khumbu Ice Fall and glaciers, after an exciting time with experience of a lifetime retrace the journey back to Gorakshep for overnight stop.
Early morning climb on top Kalapathar at above 5,545 m, our highest point of the adventure with magnificent views of mountains includes Mt. Everest at close distance, after a great time on top descend back to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue walk to Thugla, from here downhill to Pheriche around windy valley with nice scenic walk to Pheriche for overnight stop. Pheriche with many good lodges with a health post and a station of HRA (Himalayan Rescue Association)
From Pheriche walk leads on gradual scenic winding path with downhill to Imjatse River to reach at Pangboche village, and then with easy walk to the bridge, and then with uphill climb back into tall rhododendron, pines, fir forest with grand views of snowcapped peaks. After an hour climb reaching at Thyangboche Monastery area overlooking marvelous views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamasarku, Kwande with magnificent Mt. Amadablam, afternoon with time to visit its interesting monastery and observe monks and priest on prayer.
After a wonderful morning views of Everest and Amadablam walk leads downhill with grand views along the way to Phunki Tenga where a short steep up brings you at Sanasa small village and then with pleasant and scenic walk to Namche Bazaar. At Namche with lunch break and then continue our journey on the same route towards Sagarmatha National Park entrance to reach at Monjo village for overnight stop.
Phakding, and then on the way to Lukla with few ups and downhill with last and final climb of an hour to reach at Lukla for last overnight stop in Khumbu and Everest region.
Morning as per our flight time transfer to Lukla air terminal and then board in the small plane for exciting half hour flight to reach the hustle and bustle of city life in Kathmandu. Rest of the day free and relax your body and muscles from the great adventure on Everest Base Camp with Tsho-La Pass Trekking.
Last day in amazing Nepal with Himalaya wonders, depart from the hotel as per your international flight for homeward bound or to your next destination country, our staff transfer you bidding with farewell garland or Buddhist silk scarf 'Khada' for your safe and good journey.
