Langtang Gosainkunda Trek around beautiful alpine valley in the perfect tranquility of the Himalaya. Pilgrimage trek of Nepal covered the central Himalayan location, amazing valleys & gorge, traditional culture & Buddhist religion, pristine forest, area of the red pandas, glacial sacred pond and in the close backdrop of the high Langtang Himalayan range.

Langtang Gosainkunda Trek area offers a range of cultures with the main three ethnic peoples living in are the Tamangs, Yolmus and Bhotias who have originated from Tibet in the past 500 years till the mid 20th century. In a southern section of the park lies a small area of sub-tropical chestnut forest, along with unique Sal forest. In the Langtang valley trek the hill forest (2,000-2,600m) across the southern slopes of the park consists of Chir Pine, Rhododendron, Nepalese Alder and Oak. Moving north and higher, the Mountain zone (2,600-3,000m) are mainly Mountain Oak, fading to Silver Fir, Hemlock and Larch in the lower sub-alpine zone (3,000-3,6000m); throughout these zones, several species of Rhododendron trees form a twisted and colorful under story, continuing higher to tree line Birch and Fir forest are the last to survive.

Langtang valley Trekking is the third Popular Trekking area in Nepal after Annapurna and Everest region. This fabulous trek situated north of Kathmandu 60 km. as the crow fly, a perfect combination of moderate and vigorous walk leading to the high alpine valley with the backdrop of high snow capped peaks, in the spring this place is alive with wild flowers and head to the shimmering lakes at Gosainkund. It is no wonder this area is sacred, affording views extending all the way to the Annapurna’s. Cross Laurabina Yak La Pass, (4,615 m), adjoining the Gosainkund and Helambu regions.

Itinerary

As you arrive at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport our staff will be waiting to meet you and will escort you to the Hotel. Our staff will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, overnight at Kathmandu B.B plan Day 06: Trek to Lama Hotel 2, 470m. 6-7 hours walk. After a great time at Kyangin Gompa, journey returns back on the same trail to Lama-Hotel a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of upper Trisuli River. Overnight at Lama Hotel in Tea house Lodge (B.L.D) Day 07: Trek to Upper Syabru 2,720m. 5-6 hours walk. The trek today follows the same route for an hour, then after the bridge the walk is pleasant through the rain and bamboo forest, after leaving the river down below, the climb starts uphill through the landslide area of rocks and boulders, passing through farm terraces till upper Syabru is reached. Overnight at Thulo Syabru in Tea house lodge (B.L.D) Day 08: Trek to Singh Gompa / Chandanbari 3,250m 4-5 hours. Walk follows the winding uphill path above the Monastery, as the trek progress and gaining heights, superb view of Ganesh-Himal, Manaslu, Langtang and Annapurna range in the far west can be seen, after a short refreshing stops in the teahouse on the way, journey continues an hour uphill from the farmlands into the cool shade of alpine forest, once out of the thick forest, comes to a meadow with one or two teahouses, a lunch break can be had here depending upon the time. From this spot the walk is gradual with through the pines and rhododendron forest with view of Dhunche town down below. On arriving at Singh Gompa, the first few houses are cheese processing factory, our overnight stop near the Monastery. Overnight at Chandanbari in Tea house Lodge (B.L.D) Day 09: Trek to Gosainkund 4,380m. 5 hours walk. Today's' walk offers spectacular views of snow capped peaks from Langtang to the north and Ganesh-Himal range north west along with Manaslu and Annapurna range towards west in the far horizon, the walk is gradual up in the beginning for an hour, entering the woodland of oaks, pines and rhododendron after being in the cool shade of the forest, comes to a clearing where there are teahouses and lodges, after a brief stop here with excellent view of the Langtang range, the trail continues uphill leaving the tree lines and lush vegetation behind for dwarf rhododendron, juniper and alpine shrubs bushes. Overnight at Gosainkunda in teahouse lodge (B.L.D) Day 10: Trek to Dhunche 7/8 hours walking This day wil be easy for down walkers, but if some people have problem with Knee it will be difficult. it will be nice walk back to Dhunche. Day 11: Drive back to Kathmandu 5/6hours Drive This day will be nice driving through the Trishuli and terrace field in the hill side. Day 12: Transfer to International Airport for your onward to destination.
Early morning driving journey to Syabrubesi, the vehicle journey takes you to the winding uphill and downhill road, the drive passes to many rural town and farm villages the bigger town on route Trisuli Bazaar, this place lies in the sub-tropical climatic zone the road from here climbs uphill to a cooler region leaving the rice paddy behind to maize and millet terraced fields as the weather changes with the culture and the people as well, on arrival at the entrance of Dhunche 1,965m, major town of the Langtang area and Rasuwa district. There's a Langtang National Park headquarter office where you're Trekking and Park permit are checked by the Nepalese Army serving as Park warden. From here, journey continues further downhill for 1 hour to Syabrubesi. Overnight at Syabru-Besi in teahouse Lodge (B.L.D)
The route from Syabrubesi is quite pleasant with the uphill climb for a while but the rest of the walk is gradual on the winding trail through the terraced farm fields and villages, as the trail descends and joins the path coming from upper Syabru at the Riverside Lodge near the place of Bamboo, an ideal spot for camping with ample time to go for a refreshing splash in Lama hotel. Overnight at Lama Hotel in Tea house lodge (B.L.D)
The walk from here leads to a cool forest inside the gorge following the torrent glacial Trisuli River upstream, the path from here leads to gentle up hill in the cool shade of rhododendron and oaks forest after few hours walk, arriving at Ghora-Tabela, where there is facilities for camping and check point of army post and staying in one of these local teahouses serving as lodges and lunch for the trekkers. After continuing walk 2 hour more to be Langtang, Overnight at Langtang in teahouse lodge (B.L.D)
From this wonderful village, morning walk leads through the gradual path for a short while, then the path winds uphill for few hours through the prickly Burberry and high alpine shrubs, and encountering "mani-prayer wall" where walking on the clockwise direction is the positive way of respecting the local culture and religion, as our walk leads to farther east the valley opens up and then walking on the grassy meadow with views of numerous snow capped peaks in the distance. The walk is more pleasant and can be vigorous due to altitude gain as we come to our destination at Kyangin Gompa. Overnight at Kyanging-gumpa in Tea house lodge (B.L.D)
