4 day Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
As we planned for our 4-day Ghorpeni poon hill trek, we started from Kathmandu to heading to Pokhara. One of the most beautiful places in Nepal, it takes about eight hours to reach Pokhara. We all are very excited to see the Himalayas. some of our friends told us, it is one of the best viewpoints for seeing the Himalayas is poonhill. So, on the second day, we start our journey by driving by taxi to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga. We are staying in a tea house lodge which has a basic but clean bed and western toilet. it is easy for western people and the next day we hike up to Ullery, which is one of the Hardest parts of the trek.
Similarly, we continue walking about three thousand six hundred steps to get to the top. few hours of walking we reach the Ghorepani and stay in the tea house lodge. The next morning we get up early in the morning and walk up to Poon Hill for a sunrise view of the Himalayas. It was so amazing and beautiful eye-catching view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayas. Our guide Dhruba Bhatta Informed all the mountain names and heights.
Then, after enjoying the sunrise view of the Himalayas we walk back to Ghorepani and have breakfast. After breakfast,t we walk to Ghandruk. This day was so long but nice, we walked inside the Rhododendron forest. we arrived in Ghandruk around 5 pm, and we all were so tired, still the view of the Annapurna Himalaya range made us happy forget our painting of Muscles.
Ghandruk is the traditional village where most of the Gurung people live and is known as Gurung village as well. We visited the Gurung museum and some old traditional houses in Ghandruk and then took a jeep drive back to Pokhara. finally, we were back in Pokhara and enjoyed the lakeside area. As a whole, we had a good time and did the best 4 days of the Ghorepani poon hill trek in our lifetime. if we have time defiantly we will go back to Nepal for another adventure trekking with our Guide Dhruba Bhatta.
