Ken and I decided to do a trek the Himalayas and we were so lucky to be introduced to Dhruba in Kathmandu. We trekked to the highest pass, walked through jungles, villages and hiked up to the tree line through a barren, beautiful, lunar, desert landscape and acclimatised before hiking up to the very highest pass. I loved every minute of it. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing and we loved spending time with the Nepalese. I would highly recommend Dhruba as your guide. He is knowledgeable and a true professional. He will look after you and will ensure that you are okay throughout the trip. I learnt a lot of Nepalese through Dhruba which was fun! He calls me big sister “Didi.” Although I have not seen Dhruba since 2008, we are in regular contact and he has become a life long friend of ours. We miss him dearly and I will definitely be back to have another trip with him again.

Dhruba Bhatta showed us around all of the major temples and sites in Kathmandu and surrounding area over a series of days when we visited in 2017. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and the country. He also told us a lot about the religious meanings and practices behind the sites we visited. I was very impressed with the depth of knowledge he possesses. The trip was greatly improved by his guiding. He is also a very nice and pleasant person to travel with and chat to. Would absolutely recommend spending a few days with this guy if you have the chance.

I went to a travel agency in Katmandu in November 2003 and asked for a guide to guiding me for my trip to Namche bazaar and Everest View point. The next morning Dhruba Bhatta came to my hotel and took me to the airport.

The flight to Lukla was delayed 6 hours and he cheered me up and checked the weather. I had very tight schedule and was afraid that the weather would be bad for several days, and that I had to drop the trekking I came for. When we came to Lukla in the afternoon, when we start to walk steep hills, he explain about everything like mountain, culture, religious conviction and many more…and after 4 hours walk we reached the planned lodge. He was very agreeable with food and blankets what we want in mountain, because there was no heating. Due to him my trekking in Himalaya was successful. He was a best guide and good friend after that trip to Nepal and we have communicated regularly. If some people wants to visit Nepal please take Dhruba Bhatta as a guide, he is so experienced, excellent skills of everything and trustable person. He always organizes all aspects of the treks easily and professionally

Mr. Dhruba Bhatta guided us through the round Annapurna trekking April 2011.
I contacted Dhruba Bhatta couple of months earlier and through the net we defined the time table of our trekking. During this time Dhruba was available on line for us and gently settled all the issue raised by us.

We arrived from Israel through a transit in Mumbai to Katmandu airport where he met us with warm hospitality. After one night stay in a boutique hotel in Thamel he took us by bus to the starting point Besisahar.

From this point he took us safely through a ten day walking (approximately – 130 km) through Manang 3500 meters, Throng la – 5500 ending in the beautiful villages Muktinath, Jomsom and Pokhara.

During these days he carefully took care after all our needs, starting from adjusting the trekking to our fitness, staying and dinning in beautiful guest houses, directing the porters that took care after our belongings in the mountains, keeping us safe in the increasing, sometime extreme altitude environment which can become every moment dangerous to human being.

After the trekking, in the evening Dhruba Bhatta and his team and us together had a nice time and long talks where he introduced us with the Nepali tradition, life style, etc. During these talks we learned that Dhruba runs trekking in other areas of Nepal, Everest base camp, ABC, Poon hill, etc.

The Annapurna trekking under his guidance became a lovely and most important safe experience and I would recommend warmly on Dhruba Bhatta to everyone who wishes to go through guided trekking in the beautiful mountains of Nepal.

My Name is Basset Howard from Civic centre, Paris St, EX11sn Exeter Devon UK, Dhruba Bhatta is Best guide in Nepal, my first Visit December 2005, When he was employed by some trekking agency in Nepal and he acted as my guide on a short Everest Base Camp kalapathar Trek as far as Namche Bazaar called Everest panoramic view trek then I returned again in December 2006 to undertake the full trek to Everest Base Camp Kalapathar and My third visit to Nepal was in April 2011 and i had been Annapurna Circuit Trekking remarked how I were to have a guide so personable, knowledgeable and dedicated to me and my experience. I could not have agreed with them more and having never trekked this length before, I were novices. It is without doubt, that my guide been anyone other than Dhruba, I would not have had nearly the rich, authentic and thoroughly enjoyable experience I did on Trekking.

With Dhruba I enjoyed like those point:

  1. Dhruba is A sensitive and sensibility to allow a good balance between conversation and respecting an individual or couples need for privacy, over 14 years Trekking guide experience.
  2. In an intimate knowledge of the best accommodations, Tea stops and places of interest along the way, according to your own individual budget.
  3. Truthful, genuine discussions, well-informed regarding anything from Nepal’s history and current politics, local religions and culture history geography natural landscape and all Mountain names and height.
  4. A respect for an individual’s desired pace and physical condition.

When it comes to visitors, Annapurna and Mustang region of Nepal is an attraction to a dramatic number of trekkers each year. The easy accessibility, well-maintained trails, hotels, and variety of trails ranging from easy, moderate to strenuous can be the major reasons. Pokhara – the Lake City, Annapurna Conservation Area, Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Manang, Mustang, Kaligandaki gorge (deepest gorge in the world) and Annapurna Circuit are the major highlights of this place. Your journey starts from the foothills of Annapurna to the Annapurna massif.
