Jiri Everest Kalapathar Trek is unique expedition route between Jiri and Namche Bazaar has been all but ignored since the construction of the Lukla airport, sponsored by Sir Edmund Hillary in order to deliver supplies to the schools and hospital he founded.

Jiri Everest Kalapathar Trek is for good acclimatization with overnight stop at adjacent to quaint villages with their own monasteries, the root of the Sherpa and Tibetan Buddhism lies in these steep slopes of Solu, as this traditional route passes equal to the elevation of Namche Bazaar and discover the fertile valleys and the hospitality of the Sherpa people without the vast crowds found beyond Lukla on this classic Everest trail.

The Everest region Trek is understandably one of the most popular and stunning destinations for hikers which offers some of the most attractive and pleasant trekking. Jiri Everest Kalapathar Trek begins from the legendary classic trail of Jiri and thus ending with a sweeping scenic flight from Lukla, the trek follows many farm villages on route with wonderful views of the high snow capped peaks of the world, and to the highest spot at Kalapatthar for the breathe-taking panorama of peaks and its glacier including Mt. Everest at close stone throw detachment.

However, this Classic Everest Base Camp Trekking route is a memorable trip to Khumbu region which include all the highlights of the Sagarmatha National Park including Namche Bazaar, Khumbu’s Sherpa capital, unmatched view point of Kala Pattar (5,545m) and ever exciting Everest Base Camp, with time and opportunity to visit the Buddhist monasteries after a wonderful adventure return to Lukla for a sweeping scenic flight.

Itinerary

On Arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be received by our staff and will escort you to the hotel. Then we will give you brief about the trip of Nepal. Overnight at Kathmandu (B.B)
After breakfast drive to Jiri, about 187 km north-east of Kathmandu. Since, we would be travelling on the mountain roads, it takes around 6-7 hrs achieve Jiri. From Jiri, we continue driving to Bhandara, our trek start degree. Although still a single lane road, the road conditions have improved a lot nowadays than what it used to be till some years earlier. Enjoy the views of Kosi River and panoramic views of the eastern Himalaya including Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung and Dorje Lakpa. Overnight at Bhandara in a Tea house Lodge
Today trekking trail descend the trail from Bhandara through deep forests crossing several streams passing the small settlements of Dokharpa and Baranda. Climb through the forests winding down to your Surma Khola. Continue to Likhu Khola Valley. Climb the ridge making a good deal the small settlement of Kenja. Another steep ascent to Chimbu and continuing further we finally reach Sete. Overnight at Sete in a Tea house lodge
Today most of the walking path will be uphill climb to Lamjura La 3,500m through forests of pine, magnolia, maple, birch and rhododendrons. Pass from villages of Dagchu and Goyem. Lamjura La pass at 3500 meters, the finest point between Jiri and Namche Bazar, offers a panoramic view of surrounding green mountains. Descend to the pass to Tragdobuk and Junbesi. Spend the afternoon here exploring the village and the way of life of its occupants. Overnight at Junbesi in Tea house lodge
From Nuntala you will cross the stream beyond Junbesi climb up the forest slope and after an hour’s trek, the mesmerizing views of the Himalaya mountains appears before our eyes. The mountains will be visible include Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Thamserku, Mera Peak, and many other high mountains. This could be the first view of Everest on this trek, even though lower peaks look closer and higher than the distant 8,000 er mountains. Continue the trail to Salung and descend to Ringmo Khola. Ascend to Ringmo, cross the Trakshindo La pass and descend to Trashingdo. After another hour’s descent through conifer and rhododendron forests, and terraced fields, we finally attain Nuntala. Overnight at Nuntala in tea house villa.
The trail Descend down the trail to the Dudh Koshi River. We follow the Dudh Koshi River as we head upward to Khumbu. Cross the bridge, climb to Jubing and continue straight to Churkha. Climb the trail eastward to reach Kharikhola and descend to cross a suspension bridge. Another steep climb finally takes us to Bupsa. Overnight at Bupsa in tea house lodge.
The trail from Bupsa rises through a forested stretch passing Kharte. From Kharte, an uhill climb takes us to Khari La pass. Enjoy the magnificent views of the Khari La pass of Gyachung Kang and Khumbila mountains among others. Descend to Puiyan and go the actual ups and downs to Surke. From Surke, our trail climbs toward Chaurikharka. Initially, the trek moves up to Chhiplung. Then this trail moves down to Ghat and Phakding. Overnight stay at Phakding on Tea house lodge.
Our trek start from Phakding after crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh-Kosi the walk is pleasant with few short Uphill and Downhill and re-crossing the same river again, with magnificent view of Thamsherku 6, 608m, from the village of Benkar, cross the long suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi River and walk up to the Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche in tea house lodge (B.L.D)
This day you can walk up to the Syangboche Everest view hotel or Sagarmatha national Park headquarter, a magnificent spot perched on top of Namche. this day will be about 3 hours walking for Everest view hotel from there you can see magnificent views of himalaya including Everest, Lotse, Nuptse, Aamadablam and many more.
After taking good rest in Namche, we are heading for Tyangboche. There Biggest monasteries in mountain and monks are praying in morning and evening. On the way to Tyangboche we have more chance to see the Danphe (national bird of Nepal) musk Deer and mountain goat. Overnight at Tyangboche in teahouse lodge (B.L.D)
After wonderful time at Tyangboche, the trail descends through a forest of birch, fir, Juniper and Rhododendron. We will cross Dibuche, peaceful village Pangboche and unique spot somare then we will reach to Dingboche. Overnight at Dingboche in tea house lodge (B.L.D)
This day is leisure, actually you can hike to either Nagarjun hill or Chhukung village, and it will be good acclimatization for going high in labuche for next day. Overnight at same place (B.L.D)
From Dingboche the trail leads to the north, the path is gradual up for about 1 hour. You will see there some Mani walls and after another hour you will reach in Thugla, from Thugla the path goes steady up. Overnight at Labuche in tea house lodge (B.L.D)
Today towards the final destination of this adventures journey at the foot of number one. First we go to the Gorakshep and eat something and add energy to go to Everest Base Camp. After that visit the khumbu Glacier and walk back to gorakshep. Overnight at Gorakshep in tea house lodge (B.L.D)
The final day of this great adventure, continues toward to Kalapathar in the morning for sunrise view and walk back to Gorakshep for breakfast, the pack you baggage and trek down to Pheriche. Overnight at Pheriche in tea house lodge (B.L.D)
Our treks comes almost end form the uphill, the path comes up and down today. But coming down you get more energy and power yourself that’s why easily we will arrive Namche. Overnight at Namche Bazaar in tea house lodge (B.L.D)
This day trekkers walk down to the Manjo and checked out for your permit and TIMS card from National park, the gradually walk down to Lukla. Overnight at Lukla in tea house Lodge (B.L.D)
Normally, the flight schedule of kathmandu and lukla will be only morning because of wind in the afternoon, some time the flight time can be delayed due to bad weather and other reason beyond our command. As we get hold of the boarding pass depending upon our flight time we make our way to the terminal for security check, the guide will be transfer to the hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu in standard Hotel as you required B.B
Today as per your international flight time, our staff will take you to the Airport for your final Departure from The amazing country Nepal.
